VC Pirates to Battle Bakersfield Renegades.

    The Pirates travel to Bakersfield to take on the Renegades in an early 1:00 PM start this Saturday.  Ventura remained perfect in conference play last week with a 42-28 victory over visiting Moorpark College.  The Pirates got another big performance from Quarterback Jake Luto; he threw three touchdown passes and ran in another as the Pirates moved to 6-2 overall on the season.
     Bakersfield College also moved to 6-2 on the season with a 26-14 road victory last week over a spirited Santa Monica squad.  It is a match up with playoff implications between the top two teams in The National North and you can catch all the action with Mike, Jeff, and the entire Socalcollegesports.com team right here at 1:00 PM this Saturday!

SCCS Football Double Header

SoCal College Sports will be broadcasting a football double header tonight. In the first game the  Saddleback Gauchos hosts the Pirates with Jeff Stoyanoff calling the action on Channel 1. In the second game the Riverside College Tigers go head to head with the Cerritos Falcons at Riverside College. Mike Zepeda and Alan Squatrito will be on channel 2 calling the game. Both games will be viewable on our homepage beginning at 6:00 PM.

It's a marquee match up in week 4 of the 2016 SCFA campaign as a pair of unbeaten teams square off on Socalcollegesports.com.  The Riverside Tigers are off to another fast start in 2016 and they sit alone atop the Central Conference with a record of 3-0, but they face their toughest challenge to date in the Pirates and their top rated offensive show lead by Quarterback Jake Luton.  Ventura for their part moved to 3-0 this past week with an impressive 20 point victory on the road at Orange Coast College. The win moved the Pirates to 3-0 on the season and they return home in sole possession of the lead in the North Conference standings in the SCFA.
